MAKING tiramisu for the arts & the environment

Born in Italy. Made in Cornwall.

Welcome to TiramisUGO, the first artisan tiramisu business in the UK. We are led by Ugo, a 27 year old young entrepeneur with a past and present in the theatre industry. The passion for cooking and for the arts drove him to found TiramisUGO - a start up company that makes freshly prepared, high quality premium tiramisu for the local and national community.

The vision - Ice-cream during the interval is an age-old theatre tradition. What about TiramisUGO during the interval?

Making it happen - The idea comes from the strong desire to bring Italian quality and tradition to Cornwall and the UK. TiramisUGO, like Italy, is all about human relationships and passion.

Using Piero’s recipe - Piero was Ugo’s Dad, who passed away suddenly in 2005. The values of life and the courage to experiment come from the time passed together in the kitchen making Tiramisu.

Using the best ingredients - from Italy (Italian Coffee; Mascarpone Cheese, Vicenzi Savoiardi) and Cornwall (St Ewe Eggs).

Keeping it simple - Other than allowing customization or offer other variations of the dessert, including an alcoholic option, we like our tiramisu for its ability to represent italian tradition through its quality, lightness and simplicity.

Using our 1978 Ape Piaggio - able to reach the furthest and hardest-to-reach places, making it a perfect promotional and celebratory tool for our brand in sunny Cornwall.

What lies ahead? - the challenge to take TiramisUGO to the next level - organising a special launch event to introduce friends and family to our brand; continuing to trade at the Truro Farmers Market; having our product stock in some of the most renowned local stores; trying to take part at the next Royal Cornwall Show ( a celebration of local produce excellence); re-imagining our delivery system to make TiramisUGO more inclusive and accessible…..

In few years time - We aim to create enough reserves to invest in environmental activities to fight climate change and in artistic/innovation projects.

We imagine a thriving artistic food enterprise, whose vision and quality will inspire current and future generation of artist and innovators.
